The centre has a kitchen equipped with a fridge, a hot drinks vending machine and a chilled filtered drinking water dispenser. There is also a student common room for relaxation in between study sessions.
We operate a “Learner Centred” environment which places the individual at the core of the learning process. All our prospective learners benefit from a skills and training needs analysis carried out by a Course Adviser qualified to an NVQ Level 4 in Advice and Guidance, and are provided with an Individual Learning Plan with realistic and achievable goals which are designed to build confidence throughout the learning journey and optimise achievement of qualifications.
Prospective learners are always offered a course taster session before enrolment onto the course to see how the training is delivered and to find out for themselves whether the training method is suitable.
The training is carried out in a relaxed environment which resembles a modern open plan office.
Pitman Training’s unique method of study allows learners to progress at their own pace with a virtual audio-based tutor in their ears guiding them through every step of the course and with one-to-one support and guidance available from qualified tutors at all times.
This method of study allows learners the flexibility of starting the course whenever it suits them and choosing study sessions to fit in with their other commitments without being tied to a fixed routine. It can be different days and times every week, whatever suits the learner best. Distance learning is also available with the examination being taken in the centre at a time convenient to the learner.
Our learners call it the “best possible learning experience” with minimum stress and maximum skills gain.
Over 70% of our government funded learners progress into employment within 12 weeks of completing the training.
