About This Course

Develop your ability to navigate Microsoft Word, or begin from scratch and learn about all of its features and the overall purpose of this word processing software. 

The course consists of 13 modules and includes media demonstrations, hands-on activities, and knowledge check questions. At the end of the course, you will complete a consolidation exercise, which will help you review what you have learned and assess your understanding.

The course also contains quizzes at the end of each module and a Validation Test at the end of the course. With successful completion of the course, you will receive a Pitman Training certificate to verify your achievement.

Aims and Objectives

The aim of the course is to build on your knowledge and skills with the Excel application to gain advanced-level skills.

Pre-Requisites

Those wishing to study Excel Expert should already have some experience of using Excel at an intermediate level.

Self-Funded:

Requesting funding from your employers needn’t be a daunting task. Many employers support and encourage their employees with their professional development and consider it a worthwhile investment to fund any training required.

Funding & Grants:

There may be the opportunity to apply for funded grants that can help towards the cost of training. These include the Skills Development Scotland ITAs and the ReAct programme in Wales. All schemes will have different terms and conditions that will need to be met in order to qualify for a grant and these are managed by each individual centre.
