The course has two distinct parts – HTML (Hypertext Markup Language), which includes HTML fundamentals, documents structuring, and multimedia presentation, and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), which includes CSS fundamentals and styling webpages.
DOMAIN 1 – HTML FUNDAMENTALS
Introduction, Markup with Metadata, Well-Formed Markup.
DOMAIN 2 – CSS FUNDAMENTALS
Define Style Sheets, CSS Rule Sets.
DOMAIN 3 – DOCUMENT STRUCTURE USING HTML
Structure content through Markup, Semantic HTML Elements, Navigation Elements, Form Elements.
DOMAIN 4 – MULTIMEDIA PRESENTATION USING HTML
Image, SVG and Canvas Elements, Video and Audio Formats.
DOMAIN 5 – WEBPAGE STYLING USING CSS

There may be the opportunity to apply for funded grants that can help towards the cost of training. These include the Skills Development Scotland ITAs and the ReAct programme in Wales. All schemes will have different terms and conditions that will need to be met in order to qualify for a grant and these are managed by each individual centre.
